Corsivo
Objective
Design a piece of furniture that increases energy efficiency in the industrial manufacturing process.
Solution
Corsivo, which means cursive in Italian, is a bamboo chair made of the same mold in two ways: concave for the seating area and convex for the legs. The seat and back legs follow the same curve and are steam bent using the same mold. The chair is made of 5 parts of multi-ply laminated bamboo strips with wood screws as fasteners. This concept was created using Rhino and Maxwell Render.
